Uninstall Verso
Dragging Verso to the Trash removes the app, not what it keeps. Like every sandboxed app, Verso keeps its tabs, history, bookmarks, settings, extensions and every Space's cookies and site data in a folder of its own, which macOS leaves in place. These steps remove all of it.
01 Before you start
If Verso is your default browser, choose another one in System Settings → Desktop & Dock → Default web browser. Then quit Verso.
02 With Terminal
Open Terminal and run these commands:
tccutil reset All codes.thees.verso
rm -rf /Applications/Verso.app \
~/Library/Containers/codes.thees.verso/Data \
~/Library/Application\ Scripts/codes.thees.verso
open -R ~/Library/Containers/codes.thees.versoThe first command takes back the camera, microphone and Full Disk Access permissions you gave Verso, and works only while the app is still in Applications. The second removes the app and everything Verso kept.
macOS does not let Terminal remove the container folder itself, which now holds only macOS's own record of it, so the last command shows it in Finder: with codes.thees.verso selected there, press ⌘⌫.
03 Without Terminal
- In System Settings → Privacy & Security, turn Verso off under Camera, Microphone and Full Disk Access.
- Drag Verso from Applications to the Trash.
- In Finder, choose Go → Go to Folder…, enter ~/Library/Containers and drag the folder named codes.thees.verso (or Verso) to the Trash as well.
- Empty the Trash.
04 What stays
Files you downloaded stay where you saved them, and crash reports macOS wrote for Verso stay in its crash reporter until macOS deletes them. There is nothing to delete online: Verso has no accounts.
